Noah and the Paper Dragon
Noah's origami dragon comes to life in the palm of his hand. Just one problem: he's a dragon who is afraid of flying.
A Magical Fold
Noah knew how to fold paper planes, paper frogs and pointy paper hats. But that night, with a golden sheet found at the bottom of a drawer, he folded his very first dragon. Two wings, a long tail, a proud little snout.
"You're magnificent," Noah whispered. And his breath, quite by accident, drifted across the golden paper… which shivered. The dragon flapped its wings, opened two round eyes, and sneezed a tiny cloud of glitter.
"Achoo! Oh. Good evening," said the dragon in a small, crinkly voice. "My name is… well, I don't know yet. I've only just been folded." Noah thought for a second: "I'll call you Origami."
Origami trotted to the edge of the desk, looked down, and backed away very quickly. "I should warn you right away, though: I don't fly. Paper dragons tear, paper dragons crumple, paper dragons get soggy. Flying is far too dangerous."
