Terms of use
Version of June 2, 2026 · Plume — Timothé Duc · contact@plume-story.com
Article 1 — Purpose
These terms of use (the "Terms") define the conditions for accessing and using the Plume service, published by Timothé Duc and available at plume-story.com. Plume is a personalized story-generation service for children, powered by artificial intelligence.
Article 2 — Intended audience
Plume is intended exclusively for parents, guardians and responsible adults. The service does not target children directly and is not meant to be used independently by a minor. Registration is reserved for adults. Child profiles do not have their own account: they are created and managed by the adult account holder.
Article 3 — User account
The user commits to providing accurate information when creating their account, by email or via Apple/Google sign-in, and remains responsible for keeping their credentials confidential. Plume reserves the right to suspend any account with obviously false data or used in violation of these Terms.
Article 4 — How the service works and AI generation
Stories, illustrations and audio narration are generated automatically using artificial-intelligence models provided by third parties (notably Mistral, OpenAI and Google). Generated content is probabilistic by nature: it may contain imperfections, variations or unexpected elements, and cannot be considered accurate or definitive. Within subscriptions, the number of generations is limited to 30 stories per month.
Article 5 — Prohibited content and acceptable use
It is strictly forbidden to attempt to generate, through Plume, violent, hateful, illegal or sexual content, as well as any content depicting minors inappropriately. Any such attempt leads to immediate suspension of the account, with no refund, and may be reported to the competent authorities. The user agrees to use the service strictly for personal, family and non-commercial purposes.
Article 6 — Service changes
Plume is a continuously evolving service. The publisher may, at any time, modify, improve or replace the stories, illustrations, narration voices and the artificial-intelligence models used, without altering the essential features of the service.
Article 7 — Generated content and ownership
Generated stories belong to the user, for personal and family use. Plume keeps a non-exclusive technical-use license (storage, display, playback, narration) strictly necessary to operate the service. Access conditions for unlocked stories are set out in the terms of sale.
Article 8 — Intellectual property
All elements of the site and the application (source code, visual identity, the Plume brand) are the exclusive property of Timothé Duc. Any reproduction, even partial, is forbidden without prior written authorization.
Article 9 — Liability
Plume does its best to provide a stable service compliant with French law. However, Plume cannot be held liable for occasional interruptions due to third-party providers (hosting, AI providers, payment provider), nor for any use of the service contrary to these Terms.
Article 10 — Termination
The user may cancel their subscription at any time from their account area. Permanent account deletion happens from the application. Plume may terminate an account in case of serious breach of these Terms, where applicable after a formal notice that remains unaddressed.
Article 11 — Applicable law
These Terms are governed by French law. Failing an amicable resolution, any dispute will fall under the jurisdiction of the competent French courts.
